GOD'S SPIRITIAL PHYLACTERY

GOD'S SPIRITUAL PHYLACTERY

Question: " If you look at the picture posted below, you might wonder what this Israeli soldier is wearing on his forehead. Well they call that a phylactery. Then what are phylacteries?"

Answer: Phylacteries, sometimes called tefillin, are small, square leather boxes containing portions of Scripture worn by Conservative and Orthodox Jews during prayer services. Phylacteries are worn in pairs—one phylactery is strapped on the left arm, and one is strapped to the forehead of Jewish men during weekday morning prayers. (Please note: "strapped to the forehead is related to the "mind" or "remembrance")

PHYLACTERIES ON THE FOREFRONT MUST BE TAKEN IN A FIGURATIVE SENSE AS A SYMBOL OF REMEMBRANCE

Inside each phylactery are four passages from the Old Testament: Exodus 13:1–10, 11–16; Deuteronomy 6:4–9; 11:13–21
The wearing of phylacteries is based on some commands in Deuteronomy. Israel was told to love God and keep His commandments. In fact, they were to “tie [the commandments] as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads” (Deuteronomy 6:8).

Later, God tells them, “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols ... bind them on your foreheads” (Deuteronomy 11:18). We take the wording of these commands to be figurative: whatever we do (with the hand) and whatever we think (with the head) is to be guided by the authority of God’s Spirit.

God made it clear that He would put His laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. .... Hebrews 10:16-17 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more”.

God gave us an Everlasting Covenant and we all know that any covenant always starts firstly in the mind, and when both parties agree with the same mind, as they trust each other about the covenant they made, then the covenant is a perpetual thought which cannot change until it is fulfilled. God gave to Abraham and his spiritual seed, an Everlasting Covenant, and this Covenant was sealed by God with an oath God made to Himself. When Jesus came, he became the perfect sacrifice to complete this Everlasting Covenant. God said: Those who believe in my Covenant, will have my Mind. My Everlasting Mind. They will be made Righteous, Holy and Perfect, as much as I can be, because I gave this order to my people " Be Holy, because I am Holy" and Jesus echoed the same when he said " Be perfect, as your Heavenly Father is Perfect"

Now let me tell you the truth: Only the Perpetual (Everlasting) Sacrifice by the blood of Jesus, is the Mind of Christ.

The Mind of Christ is Spirit, with the thoughts of God. Here are some thoughts from the Mind of Christ: From Hebrews 10:10 " And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all." and from Hebrews 10:14, it is said that : "For by one sacrifice he (Christ) has made perfect forever those who are being made holy."

Not only this Mind makes you Holy and Perfect before God, but we must also understand that the Mind of the Perpetual Covenant is an everlasting State of Mind in a perpetual/continuous sense, and is bound to the expression "Everlasting Covenant, Perpetual Sacrifice.

MIND IS SPIRIT AND SPIRIT IS MIND

Lately in a publication, I brought that the genuine prayer was related to your mind.... and God has also His mind..

The Mind of God are the thoughts of God expressed to man, and this is there that we understand that man has been created to the image of God. The Mind of God is also called in the New testament : The MIND OF CHRIST. So, God has a mind, and those who are spiritual people, have the Mind of Christ. This is fully supported from both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

LET'S CHECK WHAT IS SAID IN THE OLD TESTAMENT ABOUT GOD'S SPIRIT.

In Isaiah 40:13 it is written: "Who can fathom the Spirit of the LORD, or instruct the LORD as his counselor?" (Here please nGod's ote: the word "Spirit")

In the King James Bible it is written: " Who has directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counselor has taught him?" Isaiah 40:13 (KJV) (Note AGAIN: the word "Spirit")

NOW LET'S SEE IF GOD'S SPIRIT IS GOD'S MIND

Apostle Paul quoted EXACTLY the same passage of Isaiah 40:13, and this is found in Romans 11:34 where it is written "For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?" (KJV) (Note: the word "mind") and this is also recorded in 1 Corinthians 2:16

"for, "Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ." --- Paul could use the meaning behind the word "mind" and he was perfectly aware that the word "spirit" was used in the book of Isaiah.

Now, just ponder about these passages:

1 Chronicles 15:16 which says: "Be you mindful ALWAYS of His Covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations" (Be mindful = filled with a MIND turned to the Covenant)

Ephesians 5:18 "...Instead, be filled with the Spirit,"

In many of my publications I explained what it was to "be mindful always" because the whole key to understand the genuine New Birth lies in this *expression (*to be mindful always). Then I showed you that practicing steady and perpetual mindfulness of God's Covenant was the "Token" from the Holy Spirit. Most of my readers know that I always taught that the word "spirit" means "mind" and the "Mind of Christ" namely the "Holy Spirit" .... and the Holy Spirit exercises the Mindfulness of the power of the atoning blood of Jesus.

"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them." Hebrews 10:16 * (King James Bible)

- God writes in "their minds".... and when God is writing, it's a permanent writing, a seal of Perfection. In this world, the most common kind of warranty on goods is a warranty that the product is free from defects in materials and workmanship. This simply promises that the manufacturer properly constructed the product, out of proper materials. This implies that the product will perform as well as such products customarily do. When a Company warrants to the original purchaser the product to be free from defects in material and workmanship when properly installed in an application consistent with the specifications for that product, the company often puts a quality seal on the product.

In the spiritual, God puts His seal in the forehead, ONLY when He sees HIS PERFECTION. This is possible if the believer has been granted God's Own Holiness and Perfection by the sacrifice and blood of Jesus. No perfection? No seal... As long you believe that you "ARE NOT HOLY" or "NOT PERFECT" you just do not deserve the SEAL of God. See? You better read again Hebrews 10:14 and Hebrews 10:10 - Those who KNOW that the atoning blood of Jesus made them Holy and Perfect before their Heavenly Father, in other words, made equal to Jesus, will receive the seal of God in the forehead (where is the mind)

Be blessed
